Disclaimer: Free samples are a good way to save green by trying the product before purchasing it. But it's important to remember to also live green. That means not requesting multitudes of product samples, just because they're free. The small samples are often shipped with an excess of packaging materials and this is very wasteful and not good for the environment. Furthermore, the shipping itself may include air or truck travel which results in harmful emissions and a large carbon footprint.
